The Mexican pianist Aranza Estela Ortega Jaimes, won first place in the International Music Competition “Grand Prize Virtuoso” held in Vienna, Austria, and debuted at the age of 14 in one of the most important venues in Europe.
The “Grand Prize Virtuoso” International Music Competition was held virtually in February 2022 and Aranza Estela Ortega Jaimes competed in the piano discipline against participants aged 13 to 15 from 71 countries around the world in the intermediate category.
Last April 12, the young pianist made her debut at the Gläserner Saal Musikverein in Vienna, Austriaand during her presentation on one of the most important stages in Europe she was accompanied by her parents, Estela Jaimes and Luis Ortega, and her teacher, Cristóbal Juárez.
Aranza Estela Ortega Jaimes studies at the National Conservatory of Music and on February 26, the most important musical education institution in Mexico announced the triumph of the brilliant pianist from Iguala, Guerrero, through its official accounts.

The Mexican ambassador to Austria, Luis Javier Campuzano, also dedicated an emotional congratulations through his social networks to the young pianist from Iguala who has earned the recognition of an entire country with her exceptional talent, dedication and discipline.

The “Grand Prize Virtuoso” is held periodically to encourage musicians from all over the world to fulfill their dreams and people of all ages and nationalities participate in the disciplines of string, piano, wind, singing and chamber music.
A selected group of winners will debut at the Solitär Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, the birthplace of composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and at the Kleine Zaal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, one of the world’s greatest concert halls.
